October 9,2011 (Harrison, NJ). Kearny won both games of a doubleheader at the Red Bulls Stadium in Harrison. It is the first time the Red Bulls Stadium has been used by a local high school soccer team. The home court advantage of being in Harrison did not help Harrison despite a one goal lead in the boy's game. The Girl's game was far less competitive than the Boy's game with the Kearny High School Girl's team winning 7-0 against the Harrison High Schools Girls. Kearny's Boys won 2-1 with a last minute goal and an off guard shot from midfield that sailed into the goal.
Kearny's Melissa Pineda and Catherine O'Neill took turns scoring Kearny's goals in the Girl's game. In the Boy's game goals were scored by Harrison's Captain Joao Conceicao, Kearny's Almir Batista and Alejandro Dianes. Dianes' game winning game was assisted by a Almir Batista who passed a ball from mid-field to Abdellah Bouzidi who hit the ball across the goal to enabled Diane to chip it into the goal. The goal sealed Harrison's faith with one minute to go in the game.
There was some very good goalkeeping by Kearny's goalkeeper Tyler Anderson which changed the momentum of the game.
