November 17, 2009 (Harrison, NJ) Harrison High School alumni, Ray Lucas and players from the New York Jets visited Harrison High School to announce the school as the winner of the "Eat Right, Move More" contest which was sponsored by the New York Jets, the New Jersey Department of Agriculture and the American Dairy Association and Dairy Council .
Both Ray Lucas, a former New York Jet and Harrison High School quarterback, and New York Jet offensive tackle D'Brickashaw Ferguson spoke and gave interviews as part of the program. Superintendent of Harrison's Schools James Doran accepted a large replica check from New Jersey Secretary of Agriculture Douglas Fisher
It would be interesting to see what the Harrison High School students submitted that resulted in their winning the "Eat Right, Move More" contest.
Harrison High joined schools in Allendale, Elmwood Park, Gloucester City, Summit and Tewksbury Township in sharing the award.
