The KMUA facility located on Central Avenue in South Kearny sustained significant damage from flooding from the Passaic River during Hurricane Sandy. The grant will allow the facility to be rebuilt and continue operations. The KMUA charges the industrial users of its services based upon water consumption for the treatment of the waste water produced by companies in South Jersey.
