Suspected Getaway Car Driver, Elvis Feratovic

September 5, 2009 (Kearny, New Jersey) The Observer blog  published the above picture of the suspected getaway car driver in the Rachel Jewelry robbery.  Elvis Feratovic was arrested yesterday and charged with felony murder and robbery.  A tip to the Kearny Police resulted in the arrest.  Given the fact that Feratovic is facing felony murder charges and appeared to be interested in talking to authorities at his arraignment in Jersey City, it may be a matter of time before the shooter and his companion are identified by police.  Authorities may already be looking for Feratovic's accomplices.

Take the time to look at all three pictures and see if you can identify the shooter.  You may have seen the shooter with Feratovic in the past and your tip could lead to his arrest.  Remember that these individuals may be armed and are dangerous.  Call the Kearny Police Department's detective bureau at (201) 998-1313 with any information you believe would be helpful.  Do not attempt to apprehend these individuals by yourself.

Our thoughts are also with the Xavier Egoavail family this Labor Day weekend.  The arrest of the suspected getaway driver provides some solice to the family but his loss will be magnified this weekend as neighbors and  families get together to barbecue and enjoy the extended weekend.

KOTW knew that the Kearny Police Department with the assistance of the Hudson County Homicide Squad would eventually find and apprehend the individuals involved in Xavier Egoavail's murder.  There is no doubt that if Elvis Feratovic is the getaway driver and he is interested in cutting a deal with prosecutors in return for his cooperation that the shooter and his companion will be arrested in short order.  Justice will be served.
